ABOUT ME
I’m a certified Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience supporting children, families, and early learning professionals. I have a passion for the early learning and child care profession. It may have started in my formative years when I watched my favourite child care expert through the television screen… Mr. Fred Rogers.
I’ve had the joy of working with children from birth to 12 years old in a variety of early learning and educational settings. I’m constantly inspired by their natural curiosity, creativity, imagination, and incredible capacity to learn and grow.
My roles have been that of:
- Program support;
- Room lead;
- Director;
- Executive Director;
- Pedagogical Lead;
- Board member and president of CAFRA (Child and Family Resource Association);
- Practicum facilitator for ELCC students;
- Early Learning and Child Care course instructor;
- Conference and workshop planner and presenter.

I believe that we are always learning. My personal professional development will never end, as the Early Learning and Child Care field is constantly changing and evolving.
Some of my credentials include:
- Diploma in Early Learning and Child Care;
- Bachelor of Applied Human Service Administration Degree;
- 2008 Recipient of the Minister’s Award of Excellence in the Urban Daycare Category;
- Alberta Health and Safety Basics for Child Care Providers;
- Alberta Food Safety Basics;
- Anaphylaxis in Child Care Settings;
- RIE Foundations Course;
- First Steps in the Schools of Reggio Emilia;
- Encounters Between Teachers, Pedagogistas, and Atelieristas in Reggio Emilia;
- Participated in the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 cohorts for the Fred Rogers Educators’ Neighbourhood.
I’m passionate about working alongside educators as they grow in confidence, deepen their reflective practice, and create rich learning environments. Whether through personalized coaching, workshop presentations, or thoughtful tools and resources, I’m here to help you thrive in your work.
When I’m not mentoring or creating, you’ll find me enjoying a good book, planning a cozy gathering, or adventuring with my family in and around Edmonton, Alberta.
WHY THE LEAF?
The leaf in the Early Learning Coach & Mentor logo is more than just a design element—it symbolizes growth, nurturing, and the unfolding potential in every educator and child. Just as a leaf absorbs light to grow and thrive, educators flourish when they are supported, encouraged, and inspired in their work.
This leaf also holds personal significance. It was lovingly drawn by my daughter, Hope. Her contribution to this logo reflects the heart behind my coaching practice, which includes: relationships, creativity, and a belief that we grow when we nurture others’ growth.
